Born February 25, 1976, in L.A., actress Rashida Jones is the daughter of musician Quincy Jones and actress Peggy Lipton. As a teenager, she attended The Buckley School in Sherman Oaks, Calif., where she was a classmate of Paris Hilton and Kim Kardashian. She later attended Harvard, studying religion and philosophy and graduating in 1997.
Jones made her acting debut in the 1997 miniseries The Last Don. Her big break came in 2000 when she played Louisa Fenn on TV’s Boston Public. Jones joined The Office in September 2006 and later romanced costar John Krasinski. Her film credits include The Social Network, Monogamy, Our Idiot Brother and I Love You, Man.
The Parks and Recreation actress dated Tobey Maguire for three and a half years until 2000. Three years later, she got engaged to music producer Mark Ronson; they called it quits a year later. Jones also romanced speechwriter Jon Favreau.
In 2012, Jones co-wrote and starred in the indie Celeste & Jesse Forever.
