Putting her rocker husband to shame! Though she’s married to Klaxons singer James Righton, Keira Knightley hasn’t shared her own vocal talents with fans until now. The British screen star, 29, is gearing up for the June 27 release of her film Begin Again, in which she plays singer-songwriter Greta, who gets dumped by her rockstar boyfriend Dave (Adam Levine) and decides to go out on her own.

On the film’s star-studded soundtrack — which boasts tunes from Adam Levine and Cee Lo Green — Knightley sings several tracks, including the original song “Lost Stars.”

Knightley’s soft, breathy voice on the acoustic single is reminiscent of other actresses-turned-singers like Piper Perabo in 2000’s Coyote Ugly. Maroon 5 frontman Levine also sings the song on the film’s soundtrack, but considering his voice can be heard on any Top 40 radio station in America, it’s the Pirates of the Caribbean star whose sound is truly unexpected.
