Felipe started his racing career in karting in Brazil when he was 7 years old.

From 2000 to 2007, he had received various championship titles.

In 2008, he made his debut as an open-wheel racer at Interlagos in the final round at the “2008 Formula BMW Americas season.” Later, in 2009, he was taken on to Formula BMW‘s European championship for the EuroInternational.

For the “2012 GP2 Series” season, Felipe signed a contract with DAMS. However, in 2013, he moved on to race for Carlin.

Felipe’s grandfather relocated to Brazil in the ’60s.
